2003–2007 #LT30for30
Since 1992, Leadership Triangle has been a convener, educator, advocate, and amplifier for some of our region’s most engaged leaders and organizations. To celebrate our 30 year anniversary, we’re telling the stories of 30 Fellows from 30 years of programs. Each Fellow highlighted will represent one year of impact: from 1992, to 2001, to 2022.
Sig Hutchinson (2003)
Sig Hutchinson has been on the front lines of making communities healthy and livable for more than a decade. Starting his career in communications with the Dale Carnegie organization, Sig became a senior instructor for the Dale Carnegie Sales Course for more than eight years before forming his own company concentrating on sales consulting, presentation and communications skills training. Later, Sig used his powers of communication and public speaking to transform the region by leading eight referendums in Wake County and the City of Raleigh for open space preservation, parks, greenways, transportation, transit and affordable housing where he continues to be active in the region. More recently, Sig ran for and was elected to the Wake County Commission in 2014 and now serves as Chair.

Delores Bailey (2004)
Delores Bailey has been the Executive Director of EmPOWERment, Inc. for over 16 years. She operates as a community organizer and began the Career Explorers Program. Since joining EmPOWERment, Inc., Delores has been an outspoken advocate for residents of Chapel Hill. As executive director, one of her many major accomplishments includes coordinating with local community organizations to acquire a neighborhood conservation district in Chapel Hill. She is passionate about speaking about the issues of housing for all people in the Triangle and routinely speaks as a panelist during Leadership Triangle’s Regional program.
Larry Petrovick (2005)
Larry Petrovick has worked to conserve the natural world for over 35 years in various roles within wildlife, forestry, and agriculture, government agencies. He has led small groups and spiritual formation retreats for over 20 years. As a Courage and Renewal Facilitator, he integrates those experiences and consults with people in nonprofits, faith communities, business, and others to understand and apply relationships from the natural world that can benefit the human-earth interrelationship. Having also been a board member in food security and human-earth interrelationship nonprofits, Larry elicits unique insights from people that may be applied within their inner and outer work. He currently is an associate board member with the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, serves a Stephen Minister at his church and is a Leadership Triangle Goodmon Fellow. Gardening, cooking local foods and bread baking feed his soul.
Howie Rhee (2006)
Howie Rhee is a graduate of MIT and Duke University. For over 15 years, he served in two roles at Duke University. Since 2007, he was the Managing Director at Fuqua’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, working closely with Professors Jon Fjeld, Wes Cohen, David Robinson, and Ronnie Chatterji. After the creation of Duke’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative (Duke I&E), he took on the additional role of Managing Director for Student and Alumni Affairs for Duke I&E. His programs at Duke included the Program for Entrepreneurs (co-directed with Jon Fjeld), Melissa & Doug Entrepreneurs, the Duke Startup Challenge, the Duke Global Entrepreneurship Network (DukeGEN, co-founded with Reid Lewis and Jon Fjeld), StartupConnect, and advising a number of student organizations including the Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Club, HackDuke, The Cube, and several more. Now he is working with a startup in the crypto industry.
Cyndy Yu Robinson (2007)
Cyndy leads Kramden Institute talent and focuses on sustainable practices, financial resources and mission achievement. Her passions include environmental protection, DEI, and community service. Cyndy worked in public affairs roles at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Lenovo, and AECOM. Prior to Kramden, she was the Executive Director of National Association of Asian American Porfessionals, a national leadership development organization. Cyndy has a human biology degree from Stanford University and a masters in international relations from UC San Diego. Her family also operates a karate dojo that has produced dozens of world class competitors. Read about our conversation with her in 2021:
