What was the primary impact of the Transforming Leaders program on your life?
The Transforming Leaders program enhanced my confidence to lead with my core values. A key takeaway from the program that resonates with me is the importance of coaching and feedback in managing teams. The program’s emphasis on these elements has helped me foster a more supportive and productive environment within my teams, increasing trust and ultimately leading to better outcomes and stronger collaboration.

I work collaboratively to advance health equity by leveraging data and fostering partnerships among HBCUs and other academic institutions. This approach ensures that underserved communities receive equitable support and that their voices shape health policies. By guiding the use of data to identify gaps and develop innovative solutions, I collaborate with others to advance health disparity research and advocate for effective interventions that enhance community health and create a more inclusive, supportive environment. The value of this work lies in its ability to drive impactful collaborations that facilitate systemic change, improve health outcomes, and empower communities through informed strategic action.
If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
If I could only read one book for the rest of my life, it would be We Should All Be Millionaires by Rachel Rodgers. This book provides transformative insights into personal and financial empowerment, with a particular focus on uplifting Black women. Its practical advice on breaking financial barriers and adopting a millionaire mindset aligns with my commitment to excellence and strategic growth, offering invaluable guidance for creating impact and achieving freedom. #millionairesquad
What is one fun fact about yourself?
A fun fact about me is that when I’m not immersed in my dissertation or work, you’ll find me either hiking on a trail, discovering new foodie spots, exploring the newest treasures in Trader Joe’s, or nurturing my thriving collection of plants as a proud plant mom!
