Support Emerging Leaders in the Triangle
Every year, Leadership Triangle Goodmon Fellows mentor a group of William Peace University students. These students are enrolled in the University’s Leadership course, and they come from different majors to strengthen and hone their leadership skills. For us, this partnership is such an easy yes. Our Fellows get the opportunity to volunteer through mentorship and we all get the chance to support students who already see the value of investing in their own leadership. This year, we asked the class if they wanted to share a bit more about themselves and make asks of our Triangle community. 15 of them responded, and their responses and Linkedin profiles are below.

Helping our local students build strong connections with community leaders and local companies is essential to maintaining a robust talent ecosystem in the Triangle. Let’s do this.
Brewer Warlick, Pre-Law, Graduating May 2023. I am a Pre-Law major with a minor in Business Administration. I plan on applying to law school in the fall and eventually become a lawyer down the road. I am looking for any job opportunities in Raleigh for either this summer or next fall.
Chuquel Wright, Esports Management, Graduating May 2023. I am majoring in Esports Management. After graduating, I hope to find a job near the Raleigh area that specializes in online broadcasting of Esport games such as “Twitch”. One thing that would be greatly appreciated is help finding an internship this Summer or Fall semester.
Garrett Phillips, Business Administration, Graduating May 2023. I am currently a junior, majoring in Business Administration. I have goals to hopefully work in the marketing or sales industry. I will be applying for internships in the marketing and/or sales industries with hopes to lock one in for the fall of 2022.
Gerard Chamra, Business Administration, Graduating August 2022. I am a Business Administration major focusing on general business while building a wide range of skills including practical marketing knowledge, data analysis, and project management. I am seeking to apply my creativity, innovation, and passion towards any new project as I am always looking to continue learning and developing further skills to strive to be my best. Looking for job opportunities in the Raleigh/Durham area.
Haley Henderson, Leadership & Nonprofit Administration, Graduating August 2022. I am majoring in Leadership & Nonprofit Administration and plan to start my own business after graduating in August. I plan to grow my existing small clothing business and am interested in opening an animal shelter. I am looking for guidance in entrepreneurship and connections within areas related to boutique sales and animal care.
Hannah Collier, Business Administration, Graduating May 2024. I am majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in General Business. My overall career goal is to own my own coffee shop/bakery, but as of right now, I am focusing on gaining experience and shadowing/internship opportunities to provide a strong background in the business world. Within the next year, I will be searching for an internship opportunity where I can connect with other professionals within the industry and potentially have a starting out job before beginning my small business. I would also appreciate any advice or shadowing opportunities from a small business owner.
Jason Bates, Business Administration, Graduating May 2023. I’m currently a junior at William Peace. When I graduate, I wish to have an active job. I don’t yet know exactly what type of work suits me best, but hopefully a good internship will help me figure that out. I’m interested in sales. I would like help finding an internship.
Joley Cabe, Sport and Fitness Studies Major, Graduating May 2023. I am majoring in Sport and Fitness Studies with a minor in Sport Management. My goal is to one day own my own gym but for right now I know I need to gain knowledge and experience. I want to find a job at a gym to learn from different trainers and managers to learn what it takes to run a gym. Next semester, I will be in need of an internship but I am also looking for a job.
Kieron Williams, Sport and Fitness Studies, Graduating December 2022. I am a Sport and Fitness Studies major with a minor in Sport Management, and I am interested in coaching soccer or holding a management position for a soccer club. Making connections with others with similar interests would be great.
Kristian T. West, Simulation and Game Design, Graduating May 2022. In less than a month, I will be completing my degree in Simulation and Game Design. I have a passion for 3D modeling and animating characters/objects. I would like some assistance finding a 3D modeling or animation job within my field.
Makayla Cook, Communication Major, Graduating May 2022. In less than a month, I’ll be completing my degree in Communication with a concentration in Integrated Media and a minor in Leadership & Management Studies. I have a passion for marketing/advertising and am looking forward to bringing my expertise in communication, leadership, and creativity to the company I begin my career with. Currently, I’m applying to jobs in the field of marketing/advertising. Ideally, I would like to secure a position before graduation and to start in mid-late May.
Makenzie Jones, Exercise and Sport Science, Graduating May 2022. I am Majoring in Exercise and Sport Science with a minor in Sport Management. My goal is to work in the sports industry, more so on the business side of sports. Help with connections in the sports industry would be great.
Miles Carter, Communications Major, Graduating May 2023. I am majoring in Communications and a concentration in Graphic Design. My main goal is to become a creative director of any innovative company, or possibly own my own company. I want to land a nice job either being a project manager or general management. Next semester, I would like to have a set job.
Yen Nguyen, Business Administration, Graduating May 2023. I am majoring in Business Administration. My goal is to work in investing, and I enjoy learning different languages. I’m looking for an internship in Spring 2023.
Zaria Lendore, Pre-Law, Graduating June 2022. I am majoring in Pre-law and will graduate this summer. I am planning to apply to law school this fall. I would like to ideally have a job in a law firm before I start law school in 2023. Any entry level position would be good experience for me to see what the day to day looks like.
